Today we went with the program to tour Parliament. Parliament is actually going into session today, so there were lots of “severe” level security risk warning signs. I found it really interesting to tour Parliament, and I really enjoyed it. I found it especially interesting that their government is slowly moving towards becoming more like the U.S. government. They just recently established a supreme court, and our making changes to make their House of Lords more like our Senate. I found it really interesting to learn all about their government and the changes taking place. I also think it is funny to hear them scorn their own government.
After, we went to the Cabinet War Rooms and the Winston Churchill Museum. Both were very interesting, and I really liked the Churchill Museum, because it was very detailed and interactive. The museums are really nicely put together. I was impressed.
I have spent the rest of the day at the Centre getting things accomplished… sort of. I am super stressed right now, because I have so much homework, studying for finals, planning for backpacking, packing, and wandering in London to do. I am so stressed. Not good!
