Today has been officially deemed food day! Allyson and I went to Portobello Market and bought lots of food! I spent lots of money… but it’s ok, because I went in with the intention of spending money, so it wasn’t that big of a shock. I love all of the food on Portobello! First I bought my favorite seafood box (differently cooked prawns and crab), then I bought bruschetta (amazing! Used fancy olive oils and also put aubergine on it), mixed olives (I swear this place has the best olives I have ever had, I am addicted… they are amazing), veggie schnitzel, olive ciabatta loaf, grapefruit, and my favorite little café hot chocolate on the way out! Best food day ever! Now don’t worry… I didn’t eat all of it. I brought most of it home for dinner and for a snack after church. I also bought a super cute necklace! I love it! I had the lady make it for me. It has three small charms on it – a heart locket, a pearl, and the Eiffel Tower. I love it! I have received so many compliments! We got back from Portobello completely exhausted and slightly wet, as it began raining when we were leaving. After dropping off all my purchases in the kitchen, I went to the parlor and laid down on one of the hard, tiny couches. I fell asleep in a matter of seconds. Allyson also fell asleep. This is not something we were planning on doing, as we wanted to go to a museum. Still, my thirty minute nap felt amazing. I was exhausted when I woke up and went upstairs and fell back asleep on Allyson’s bed. She didn’t really appreciate that I fell asleep on her bed… can’t imagine why. Lounged around the Centre for the rest of the evening… still pretty exhausted from Paris.
