Happy Birthday Father Dearest!

Today we took the train to Hampton Court. I was slightly disappointed. I thought it would be like a palace or castle, but it looked so ordinary. It was on a really big property though. We walked all over Hampton Court, often going back and forth, because we would enter one area only to be let out in another, but needed to head back to the beginning to enter a different section that would also let out in an inconvenient area. You would think they would make it easier to navigate without all of the back and forth.

The gardens were beautiful. Lots of the tulips were blooming in this one little field, it was so beautiful. We also walked through a hedge maze, but it was really easy and not that fun. Overall I was not that impressed by Hampton Court, and do not think it is worth a visit because it wont stand out in my mind compared to all of the amazing castles and cathedrals I have been to.

After, we headed back into town and stopped at Borough Market to get lunch. I love Borough Market! So much good food! I got my favorite veggie burger again, with the awesome chutney on it. I love it. I also bought some olives. Oh my gosh I have become addicted to olives. These were sooooo good! I got three different kinds. One of them was one I hadn’t had before; it is a young olive from Sicily and it was delicious. I love olives! I am my father’s child!
