Today was a top day! Top day! Allyson and I got to sleep in, and then we went to the Natural History Museum. It was a lot of fun. We learned lots about ecology and biology – especially about human reproduction. Kind of shocked by how much detail they went into, because there were so many little children everywhere! Well that’s Europe for you. The mammal exhibit was closed, and the line to see the dinosaurs was ridiculously long, but otherwise we had a really good time wandering the museum.

After the museum we walked through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens to get to The Orangery. Allyson and I had afternoon tea at The Orangery, outside of Kensington Palace. It was great! We each got a pot of tea – I got chocolate tea (I know random, but it was so good!) and Allyson got an orange tea (also very good) – and we each got a slice of Victoria Sponge Cake. The cake was so good! It was served with fresh cream that was so delicious! We had a splendid time!

It started pouring while we were having tea, so we hurried home in the rain. I grabbed my umbrella and we hurried to the London Eye to make our 6:00pm reservation. We got there on time and took photos around the Eye. Then we picked up our tickets and watched a 4D movie on the London Eye/London. The movie was actually really good! I liked it. It was very cool. We then waited in line to board the eye. I was surprised that they weren’t packing people into the capsules, so I was very happy to have walking room. The views were spectacular. Even though it was a cloudy day (it had stopped raining), the sun was beautiful as it set, because the clouds lit up. So much fun! It takes about 30 minutes to make one full rotation, and then we got off and walked towards the Jubilee Bridge. So many pretty pictures! London is so beautiful at dusk. I want to go back so badly with a tripod!

Haha, so funny story… Allyson and I are walking along the Thames when I recognized someone taking photos with a tripod. I called out her name, because I wasn’t entirely positive it was her, but she didn’t acknowledge it. I then walked closer and tried to peer at her face without being noticed. I was 80% sure it was her, so I quickly double checked with Allyson that it was her, then uncertainly reached out and grabbed CJ’s butt. Luckily it was CJ, don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t her. Her face was priceless as she popped up and spun around. Scared the crap out of her, because she was out alone and was not expecting to run into anyone. We hung out around Big Ben for a little while, then headed back and went to Kahn’s for dinner! I love Kahn’s. So full right now, but very happy. Today was a top day!
