Church today. The girl I go to church with (who also happens to be the one who was very late to the bus at Dover) was running extremely late. Instead of going alone to church, which I didn’t really fancy because it is a sketchy neighborhood, I decided to wait for her. I told her I would be downstairs, but would call her if I decided to go alone. She somehow did not understand this, so when I called her half an hour later, she was nowhere near being ready. We finally left, but when we arrived at the tube station in Kennington, the station had flooded, so no one was allowed to exit. We had to go to a different station and walk. Well, I am glad that I didn’t have to do that alone. Church was ok. I taught the 4-5 year olds again. We had five visitors. They were adorable. I had two of them in my class. The little girl, Anna (5), came up to me and told me that she didn’t like this primary because all of the children were so loud and misbehaved. I couldn’t help but agree with her. My lesson was fine; don’t really know how much was actually taught though. There is a little boy, Kojo, who is a complete handful. I also had a three year old in my class. He was very cute and well behaved, but I wasn’t sure why he was in my class. I like the kids a lot, but teaching them is pretty crazy!
After church, I went upstairs and dragged Allyson out of bed. I made her go on a walk with me. She hated me for it in the beginning, but we had a lot of fun. We walked along the fence surrounding Kensington Garden because local artists sell their work there on Sundays. We saw a lot of pretty paintings. We then took a stroll through Kensington Garden. I chased some birds. We found the Peter Pan statue. Allyson then dragged me to the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. It looked like it belonged in a water park. It wasn’t very pretty or impressive.
We then took the tube and walked around Little Venice in preparation for our trip this week. Little Venice was very boring. It was very cold and started to rain on us. I think it is only called Little Venice because it has a canal going through it, but there is no Italian influence anywhere.
Dinner was really good at the Centre. We had some pasts/lasagna dish, garlic bread, salad, and a pudding for dessert. Yummy!
